Maybe it was because i wasn't 3 rows back this night, but it felt more like a festival performance than friday's set. i was happy with the first set song selection but nothing too fancy jam wise until we get to the antelope.....which i lost my marbles on. i was running around the field dancing with anyone and everyone in sight. the absolute highlight of my night.....i had my eyes closed and was deep in the jam on either tweezer or first tube when i feel a tap on my shoulder. i open my eyes to a complete stranger with a huge smile on his face and wide open arms. we embrace in a phish love hug and them he goes on his way. i love this band and our phamily

This show was a fun way to close out a good fest.
The first 5 songs all serve as great first set dance numbers . Then Gin hits! it's fitting because Snoop just played his song about gin an hour ago on the same stage. (E. Badu played before Snoop) ((Not quite as good as the Al green>Beasties/David Byrne> Phish late night we had on Friday))
Zero and Tweezer keep the energy high fish rips in the tweez which trey ripcords for horse. This is the first brake pump of the night.
Lope picks things back up and is played with gusto- trey prolly trying to impress Bruce who is no doubt watching side-stage.
The sit in was fun to watch, you could tell trey was having a blast! Trey takes nice solos in Bobby Jean and Glory days. Mustang Sally- what a bustout!
First set was rocking and straight forward best-of-hits/classics with the "surprise" guest ending
Song selection is spot on with the rock and roll set II opener. Trey still high from playing with his hero, comes out blazing and actually uses the whammy/pitch bender/whale call successfully creating tension with it at the 8:12 mark and releasing perfectly at 8:27
After that nice little peak mike and fish hold down the fort while trey rambles around with little direction and page plays out adding ideas.
trey lands some nice licks and mike seems to lead the band into type II territory with page jumping on synth to create an eerie sound-scape that turns into> Light which has some full band interplay in the 8th minute and some funk in the 10th (great ending) 46 days is always good, but I don't love it in this spot.
so after a cover, the first 3.0 song of the night,and a 2.0 shredder, we dive back into the classics with LxL. LxL soars majestically and trey gives you the goods at the end.
They play farmhouse as a nod to the farmland we are standing on
# line amps things up with it's rave up ending and caspian pokes his head out to the delight of some. for me this set would have been better if they decided to do something like a ghost>twist>piper instead of the farmhouse, #line, Caspian , but oh well it made the 1st tube all the more thrilling. For me it was a breath of fresh air to close the set. Suzy>reprise ends the fest with a !!
This was a good fest for me, I had been to roo 6 times before this one (did Roth instead in 08) and always wanted to see phish there. They were a bit jammier on Fri night with the disease and the killer KDF, but this night was special too with some really great moments
I enjoyed seeing E. Badu and Snoop open up for Phish this night
maybe I'll go back there someday...

My second show ever. Young kid, wide eyed. Witness of two rock heroes jamming in beautiful harmony. At the time, this was perfection in my mind. I talked about this for months, and still do occasionally. Does anyone know why there are audible "boo"s during Bruce's intro at the end of antelope?

Springsteen can cut it! Swappin' leads w/ Trey was pretty badass.

1274 gap on Mustang Sally. Thought it was worth mentioning.
